OFM World Championships 2010

OFM's most prestigious individual competition, the World Championships, have just started, and all the information you need to know is right here!

Comprising some of the finest managers OFM has to offer, the World Championships (WC) kicked off yesterday (Monday 5th April). 128 top managers have been split into 8 leagues of 16, all of whom are hell-bent on one thing; becoming the Champion of OFM.

League 3

League 6
League 7
League 8

After playing each other Home and Away, the top 4 managers from each league will progress to the next round of the competition.

In a new addition to this years competition, all managers will not be using Secret Trainings or Training Camps at all, in order to create a fair and level playing field for all involved. You can read up on the discussion surrounding this decision, as well as following the banter as the competition unfolds by visiting the Season Ticket Holders Forum on the international version, or by clicking here.

Can Joao Guarino retain his title? At this stage of the competition, it is obviously far too hard to predict who will win, but if you like to play it safe, you'll be backing Joao's compatriots, with the Portuguese looking the favourites once again, as they house 42 of the 128 participants, which represents a whopping 33% of the competitors! However, should the winner come from elsewhere, the Romanian population, with 25 qualifers, which constitutes a little under 20%. The Romanian's number one crew, the Panzers of Romania, lead the way in the crew stakes, with 14 members of their crew involved, but the two top Portuguese crews, Lusos and the Force (10 and 8 respectively), alongside the number 1 crew on the game, Kanarifuglene (who have 8, too) are not far off their numbers.

To get this competition off the ground, it has taken numerous hours of hard working and grafting from so many members of the community. With members of Gamebasics and Senior Staff, Support Staff, as well as all language translators and several of the moderating team all featuring amongst the incredibly long list of helpers, it would be foolish to try and name them all, for fear of missing any of them out, but it is safe to say that they have all done a fantastic job, and this comepetition would not be possible without them; they deserve a huge hand!

It only remains for me to wish all 128 managers the very best of luck, to remind them to adhere to the rules, which are available to view in each league forum, and I hope that everyone involved has a thoroughly enjoyable experience
